OK, I've done it. Major life changes! As of March 30 I will be finished with teaching (it is scheduled to end) and I will no longer work HR at the Huntington (I quit yesterday.) Woohooooo!!! What will I do? you may ask...
- work on monologues and scenes and have time to be an actor!
- help out at Laura's new preschool that she starts 4/2(www.gentledragonpreschool.org), a coop where parents go in twice a month and work for the morning (9-1).
- watch another kid two afternoons per week and have their Moms watch Laura at their house two afternoons
- have one day per week with Laura to have play dates and run errands and play together
- help to run Open Mondays, a weekly drop-in class for actors to work on scenes, writing, etc. that I've formed with my friend and coach, Dossy Peabody
- work out (well, at least try more often)
- plan! get my brain together!
- write. Write to friends, write plays, write on LJ maybe
I have been so scattered these last few months, pulled in 7 different directions constantly, between the HR job, teaching, mothering, acting, family, house, etc. There have been so many things that I've started and just dropped- I haven't been able to keep it all in my head. I'm so looking forward to having a little more time in my life, and two fewer frustrating jobs. Tym is convinced that I will be bored in 3-6 months and find another job, and maybe I will, but I know a little better now what I DON'T want.
Ahhhh. I'm so ready for the change. Just a few more weeks to get through first...
